Urat Batu

Marble and onyx, made from one block in Tulungagung, Indonesia.

Urat Batu is a small stone workshop. We make tiles, sinks, table tops, vases and small pieces. You can ask for a sample before you order.

The workshop

We choose a block, split it into slabs, shape it, polish it and pack it. All of it happens in one workshop in Tulungagung, East Java.

Slabs from the same block are numbered in order, so we can match veins across tiles or open two slabs like a book.

How to ask for a sample

  1. Tell us on WhatsApp what you need: product, size, quantity and your country.
  2. We suggest stones and send a quote, with a rough time for production.
  3. If you want a sample, we cut small pieces, about 10 × 10 cm, in two or three finishes.
  4. The pieces travel in a padded box by international courier.
  5. Once you approve the sample, we select the block and start the order.

Shipping overview

  • Samples go by international courier in a padded box.
  • Larger orders are packed in wooden crates, with slabs standing upright and wedged with foam.
  • Most large overseas orders go by sea, in a container or part of one. Small and urgent orders can go by air.
  • You or your freight agent can book the shipping. We can also ask a local forwarder for a quote.
  • Import rules, taxes and paperwork differ by country. Please check them with your agent before you order, and tell us what you find out.
